Gabriel Angel?
Who is the Gabriel Angel?
Gabriel (/ebril/; Hebrew: Garl, ‘God is my Strength’.
Gabriel is an archangel who appears in Abrahamic religions and was first referenced in the Hebrew Bible. In the Hebrew Bible, Gabriel appears to the prophet Daniel to explain his visions. The Book of Enoch and other early Jewish scriptures also mention the archangel. Gabriel, along with the archangel Michael, is depicted as Israel’s guardian angel , defending the Israelites from foreign angels. Gabriel is also known as “God’s Strength” in numerous languages.
Gabriel is a higher-ranking angel who is a visionary, a messenger of God, and a herald of visions. He explains God’s word to mankind and assists them in accepting it with a pure heart.
Duties of Gabriel
Gabriel is the patron saint as well as a saint. He is the Holy Patron Saint of all individuals who labour in the field of communication and telecommunications because of his role as the Angel of the Annunciation, who delivered the message of Jesus' birth to the Mother of God. Many vocations, including postal workers, philatelists, delivery guys, garbage collectors, radio hosts, and ambassadors, can rely on his support and protection in their everyday work.
Judaism Interpretations
Talmudic rabbis interpreted the “man in linen” as Gabriel in the books of Daniel and Ezekiel. In the Book of Daniel, Gabriel is the one who interprets Daniel’s visions. In Daniel, Gabriel’s major role is that of revealer, a role he continues to perform in subsequent literature. In the Book of Ezekiel, Gabriel is supposed to be the angel that was sent to demolish Jerusalem. Gabriel takes the form of a man and sits at God’s left hand, according to the Jewish literature.
