Simat Hayyi Angel
People in Mandaeism believe that Simat Hayyi or Simat Hiia is the personification of life. She is a uthra (angel or guardian) from the World of Light and the wife of Yawar Ziwa.
Yawar Ziwa or the Great Mana in the World of Light is called by the names Simat Hayyi and Niufta. Simat Hayyi means “Life’s Treasure,” and Niufta means “Drop.”
