World of Light

The Universe of Light (alma d-nhra) is the primal, transcendental world from which Tibil and the World of Darkness formed in Mandaeism. The World of Light is inhabited by the Great Life (Hayyi Rabbi or Supreme God/Monad) and his uthras. The Great Yardena (or Jordan River) of Life originates in the World of Light. A kina is a heavenly house in which uthras, or beneficent celestial creatures, reside in the World of Light.
